Ellin & Tucker, a public accounting and business consulting firm, had been managing its public relations in-house at a slow and steady pace for years. The firm was ready to augment its presence in the local business community but didn’t have the internal resources to handle that effort in-house. In 2014, Ellin & Tucker retained Vitamin as its PR agency of record and we continue this effort today.
Vitamin developed an aggressive public relations plan to help the firm retain existing clients, attract new clients and position its experts as thought leaders in their respective industries. Vitamin developed a robust media list and worked with Ellin & Tucker to develop unique story ideas for each of the firm’s primary industries about which the firm’s experts were knowledgeable. With the media list and story ideas in place, Vitamin aggressively pitched bylined article ideas to trade publications and timely interview opportunities to the local media. Vitamin also worked with Ellin & Tucker to identify and complete “call for speakers” proposals for relevant industry associations with upcoming conferences, webinars and events.

Vitamin’s ongoing aggressive public relations plan has earned Ellin & Tucker ongoing positive press exposure:
- In the first year of programming, Vitamin earned more than 40 press hits for Ellin & Tucker.
- The PR program developed by Vitamin was lauded by our industry peers; it won an Award of Excellence in the PRSA Maryland “Best in Maryland” competition.
- At the end of the first year of programming, Vitamin was re-engaged to develop and execute an enhanced public relations program and the relationship was expanded to include media planning, media buying and advertising, which continues to this day.
