Long-time public relations client Penn-Mar Human Services has been providing a range of services for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) since 1981. And through Vitamin’s strategic efforts, the nonprofit has enjoyed a terrific amount of media coverage in the Greater Baltimore market. This was the chief goal when Penn-Mar began working with Vitamin and considered vital to the group’s growth and ability to support more people, while also reaching prospective employees. And though Baltimore has been the main focus of Vitamin’s efforts, Penn-Mar’s footprint includes southern Pennsylvania, allowing Vitamin to extend media outreach efforts across the Mason-Dixon Line when appropriate.

In FY 2023, Vitamin’s work with Penn-Mar resulted in 44 individual media hits between July 1, 2022, and June 30, 2023. This included coverage of Penn-Mar events, organizational news and milestones, services and support programs, radio interviews, podcast guest appearances, and op-eds by the group’s leadership. The press outlets that covered Penn-Mar are the premier names in the region and specifically singled out by Penn-Mar for pitching: Baltimore Business Journal, Maryland Daily Record, The Baltimore Sun, WBAL-tv11, WJZ-13, WPMT FOX43, WYPR FM 88.1, York Daily Record, Yahoo! News, and The Capital Gazette, and many others.
