Delivering a Virtual Holiday Miracle for a Beloved Baltimore Spectacle

Vitamin

When the COVID-19 pandemic and holiday season collided in 2020, Catholic Charities of Baltimore was faced with a significant challenge for one of their most popular annual events – the Christmas Festival at the Basilica. With an in-person concert out of the question, Catholic Charities sought out Vitamin to conceptualize an engaging virtual experience for the community that embodied the joy of the holiday season.

During a recent online panel discussion hosted by PRSA Chesapeake, Vitamin and our friends at Catholic Charities shared how we reimagined their beloved holiday concert into a month-long online celebration called “Comfort & Joy’‘.

The speakers included Erin Bolles and Christine Collins from Catholic Charities along with Amanda Karfakis and Cory Magin from Vitamin.

Panelists shared how Catholic Charities and Vitamin collaborated to virtually capture the spirit of the season with the month long “Comfort & Joy” campaign that drove a 29% increase in donations, boosted website visitors by 32x over annual concert attendees, saw a 200% increase in email engagement, and laid the foundation for a new online platform that Catholic Charities can now utilize for a range of exciting virtual fundraising and event opportunities.
