The Challenge

Every year, the Greek Orthodox Cathedral of the Annunciation hosts its Greek Food & Cultural Festival — the largest Greek festival in Baltimore featuring authentic, homemade Greek food and a myriad of vendors. The festival is the Cathedral’s largest fundraiser and in order for the Cathedral to continue funding the work it does in the community, it was important to increase attendance at the event.

The Solution

Vitamin knew that social media would be key to generating buzz and awareness for the festival and encouraging people to attend. Vitamin created a robust Facebook strategy for the festival incorporating a mix of paid and organic content, and we completely redesigned the Greek Festival’s social media presence. Vitamin designed a new cover photo, profile photo and collection of high impact Facebook images.

The Results

  • The first year Vitamin activated the strategy, the Greek Food & Cultural Festival saw its most successful sales year, ever.
  • The social promotion successfully generated buzz and awareness for the event.
  • Vitamin grew the festival’s Facebook page “Likes” by 234%.
  • The branding Vitamin designed proved to be so engaging that we eventually rolled it out into all of the festival’s marketing materials: promotional posters, street banners, and all print and online advertising.
