Vitamin client Penn-Mar Human Services is one of the region’s leading providers of services for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). The people Penn-Mar supports are some of the most vulnerable among us, many of whom have compromised immune systems and are highly dependent on professional help. But despite the difficulties faced during the COVID-19 crisis, Penn-Mar’s Direct Service Professionals (DSPs) work tirelessly to keep the 400 people with IDD from Pennsylvania and Maryland healthy and safe.

Vitamin connected Penn-Mar with Baltimore CBS television affiliate WJZ to make sure their highly-trained healthcare professionals were able to share their story and explain the unique challenges that residents with IDD face during a pandemic and why DSPs are living angels who are so worthy of our praise.
