It’s almost Halloween, and there’s no better way to get into character for your show-stopping costume than to get a little spooked. We’ve rounded up our favorite Halloween flicks to get you into the… spirit.
The Saw Movies
“While it isn’t particularly ‘scary’, it will definitely mess with your mind. And I love movies where people are forced to stretch themselves both physically and mentally in order to survive. You get to see how different people react in life or death situations.” – Nikki
“This horror movie is from the perspective of a radio DJ. A lot of the horror is told by people calling in to the radio station. Sort of an old “war of the worlds” perspective. Really suspenseful.” – Alex
“If you’re looking for a family-friendly flick (or even if you’re a kid inside), there’s no better Halloween flick. The scariest part? Realizing Bette Midler’s character doesn’t have eyebrows.” – Amanda G.
The Nightmare Before Christmas
“Because it’s a classic.” – Chris
“The shakiness of the camera and the graininess of the movie make you feel like the terror can actually happen in real life. If you’re going to watch any of the movies in the Paranormal Activity series, definitely go with the first one – it is by far the scariest.” – Doug
“In 6th grade I quickly became terrified of scary movies. I used to watch the Halloween series of flix with friends from under the covers and behind the couch. A classic comedy that features the paranormal is more my speed these days. ‘We came! We saw! We kicked its ass! ” – Amanda K.
