Vitamin and Saint Agnes Hospital Selected to Speak at PRSA Maryland Chesapeake Conference

April 15, 2015

Vitamin, the web and PR agency, and Saint Agnes Hospital, a member of Ascension, the nation’s largest Catholic and not-for-profit healthcare system, announced today that they have been selected to present at the 2015 PRSA Maryland Chesapeake Conference. Their joint presentation, “Raising Brand Awareness Through An Integrated Campaign,” will educate attendees about the value of developing strategic integrated campaigns, using the hospital’s “One Journey, Many Paths” breast cancer awareness campaign as a real life case study. Presentation speakers will include: Amanda Karfakis, President/CEO, Vitamin; Nikki Bracy, Senior Account Executive, Vitamin; Kirstan Cecil, Director of Marketing and Communications, Saint Agnes; and Justin Blome, Marketing Manager, Saint Agnes.

Vitamin and Saint Agnes developed “One Journey, Many Paths” to promote the hospital’s Comprehensive Breast Center during Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The fully integrated campaign used a variety of marketing mediums (including blogs, social media and traditional media) to generate awareness and build preference for the Center amongst the hospital’s patient population. The campaign has been recognized by PR News’ Social Media Icon Awards and PR Daily’s Social Media Awards.

The theme for this year’s conference is “Root Down to Rise Up: Growing Into the Digital Age.” The annual conference aims to help local PR professionals learn about new industry trends and techniques, sharpen traditional public relations skills and apply them to today’s digital world and provide networking opportunities to attendees.

The conference will take place on June 4, 2015 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tickets can be purchased here.
