Vitamin and Saint Agnes Hospital Named PR Daily Social Media Awards Finalists for Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign

Vitamin®, the web and PR agency, and Saint Agnes Hospital, a member of Ascension, the nation’s largest Catholic and not-for-profit healthcare system, were named finalists in PR Daily’s 2014 Social Media Awards for a breast cancer awareness campaign developed and executed during Breast Cancer Awareness Month (October 2014).
PR Daily’s Social Media Awards recognize in-house, agency and independent communication practitioners in the private, corporate, nonprofit and government sectors around the world “who are uniquely and creatively putting social media to use.” The campaign was named a finalist in the “Best Healthcare” category.
The goals of the campaign, titled “One Journey, Many Paths”, were to generate awareness for Saint Agnes’ Comprehensive Breast Center, to generate buzz and awareness on social media and to educate women about the importance of breast health and early detection. The campaign was fully integrated, strategically using multiple mediums including bloggers, local media, social media and an online video, which was developed by Saint Agnes.
Notable results of the campaign include:
- Earned over 10,000 video views
- Earned over 225 Facebook shares of campaign content
- Earned coverage on 18 different blogs
- Earned coverage on seven media outlets, four of which were major regional outlets
