Alaz Does Not Approve: Fashion Trends We Don’t Want To See In 2015

By Alaz

Every year has its fashion mishaps, and every year I wonder how you humans wear some of the things you do. Listen, I get it – we all have our dog days. But I’ve got a real bone to pick with some of last year’s trends. Here are the trends we hope disappear in 2015, from a doggie with style.

Man Buns

Humans – take it from a pooch with a luscious mane, I know how hard it can be to keep your hair under control. Man buns take grooming to a whole new level. Celebrities like David Beckham, Jake Gyllenhaal and even some pooches are taking on the trend. But what’s next? The resurgence of scrunchies? Guys – it’s time to unleash your locks!

Denim on Denim

Dog years before my birth, light wash denim was in. From
Salt-N-Pepa to Brad Pitt, celebs were decked out in their Levi’s best. The couple that took this trend to the next level was Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake (though I’m still licking my wounds from their breakup) at the 2001 MTV Awards. While it was probably fashion forward back then, Katy Perry and Riff Raff tried to revive the same look 13 years later. Not even this publicity hound thinks it was a good look. Time to let that sleeping dog lie.

Black Lipstick

Maybe it’s because I’m fashion forward, or maybe it’s because I don’t have lips, but ladies — I do not understand the obsession with lipstick. It gets on everything. Call me colorblind, but last year’s black lipstick trend is the worst of them all. Not even
Beyoncé could make it look good (and she can make going to the vet look good). One thing is for sure – I will not be giving slobbery kisses to the ladies below.

Cat Ears

Celebs like Taylor Swift, Ariana Grande and Jhene Aiko have been sporting these cat-friendly headbands, but this dog certainly does not want to chase them. And cat earphones raised three-quarters of a million dollars in five days? Where are the doggie ears? Show the pups some love!
