Five Reminders of Why We Love What We Do: Reflections on 2025
At the end of each year, we like to reflect on the work we feel privileged to have been part of and the clients who have trusted us to help tell their stories. The list is long, but we would like to share just a handful of moments that will stay with us as we look back on 2025. Our work this year allowed us to be present when organizations mark important transitions, celebrate what matters, and show up for the communities they serve.
1. Honoring a Legacy of Service: Catholic Charities
Our longtime client of more than a decade, Catholic Charities, invited us to help honor Executive Director Bill McCarthy’s retirement at their Annual Gala—a responsibility we took seriously. The question was simple but significant: how do you honor decades of leadership in a way that feels meaningful, not ceremonial?
We designed an invitation rooted in the “Love Your Neighbor” theme that defined Bill’s tenure, creating a piece that reflected both his legacy and the heart of the organization. For the gala, we wrote and directed two tribute videos—one connecting Bill’s leadership to Catholic Charities’ mission, and another featuring reflections from colleagues, friends, and family, closing with a message from his granddaughter.
Being part of this moment—and seeing the community show up for Bill—was a reminder of what lasting service looks like.

2. A Second Move, Same Commitment: Ellin & Tucker
Another decade-plus partner of Vitamin, Ellin & Tucker recently announced plans to relocate its headquarters to Baltimore’s Harbor East in fall 2026. Vitamin supported the announcement of the firm’s second major headquarters move in that time. This milestone reflects not only Ellin & Tucker’s growth, but also the strength of its people, relationships, and long-term commitment to Baltimore City. Through messaging, PR, media relations, and social strategy, we helped tell the story of the firm’s continued investment in the community. Ellin & Tucker’s dedication to the city is meaningful, and we’re grateful to partner on moments like these and look forward to visiting the new space next year.

3. A Personal Connection: Spoke Apparel
We have a long-standing connection with Spoke Apparel, a mountain bike apparel brand owned by Vitamin partner Michael Karfakis. For nearly 14 years, we’ve been on this ride together—through mud, miles, and lessons learned along the trail.
In 2025, we launched a third-generation ecommerce site built for riders, by riders—highlighting three teams, custom apparel, and the grassroots energy that drives the mountain biking community. The work reflects the same mindset behind good riding and good building: put in the reps, respect the terrain, and know when to send it.
Thanks, Mike, for the creative opportunity to explore new lines. We’re proud to help build something that’s true to the sport and the people who show up for it.

4. A Remarkable Trajectory: MCB Real Estate
MCB Real Estate has been on a strong, disciplined growth path, and as a trusted PR partner for major announcements, Vitamin has been proud to help shape and share their story across PR, TV, print, and digital channels.
This year brought major milestones: the groundbreaking of the new Baltimore Mayor’s Office of Employment Development at MCB’s $170 million Reservoir Square in East Baltimore, and the ribbon cutting at The Enolia—the first new off-campus student housing near Morgan State University in 20 years.
MCB’s growth extends beyond Baltimore, with strategic acquisitions and developments across Texas, New York City, Pennsylvania, and Ohio. And when team members earned recognition in ConnectCRE, The Daily Record, The Baltimore Business Journal, and GlobeSt., we were proud to amplify those achievements.
Supporting a partner making sustained, measurable investments and transformations—locally and nationally—is work we value and are grateful to do.

5. Powering Better Decisions Nationwide: ElectricityRates.com
ElectricityRates.com helps consumers across the U.S. navigate the complex world of utility rate comparisons. When they needed a complete website redesign, they trusted us to create a more modern, user-friendly experience. We’re proud of how the new site turned out. It’s a fresh face for a valuable resource that helps people make informed decisions about their energy providers.
