Vitamin’s 2016 Work Round-Up

The end of 2016 is almost upon us, and it’s been an amazing year for the Vitamin team — mainly because of all of the exciting, creative and collaborative work our clients gave us the opportunity to produce. Check out some of our standout projects from 2016:

Ellin & Tucker’s 70th Anniversary Advertising Campaign

This year Vitamin launched a 70th anniversary advertising campaign for Ellin & Tucker, a top 10 mid-Atlantic public accounting and business consulting firm. The campaign, “A Little Too Honest”, is a series of eight print ads that ran throughout the year in the Baltimore Business Journal to highlight the accounting firm’s unique values and its unwavering commitment to open communication and honest accounting. We had a lot of fun drafting the bold, sarcastic copy and hearing all of the fun feedback the firm received.

Identity for the Brand New Water Taxi

If you haven’t heard, Kevin Plank, owner of Under Armour, purchased the Baltimore Water Taxi and redesigned the archaic boats to be edgy, modern and unique. Vitamin was brought on to design the mark for this high profile project, as well as the unique lock-ups on the port, starboard and aft of the boat. The new Baltimore Water Taxi look and feel was the talk of the town throughout the year and it’s great to see our work sailing around the harbor.

Saint Agnes Hospital Coverage on Inside Edition

Vitamin had the chance to work with Inside Edition on a miraculous story we pitched about a patient at Saint Agnes Hospital whose dog sniffed out her owner’s lung cancer. We arranged a three-part, in-person video shoot, and the segment aired on TV and online. Subsequently, the story was picked up by more than 50 other media outlets. Watch the segment, here.

Next Step Design Rebrand and New Website

This year, we began working with Next Step Design, an innovative foodservice design firm that is known for designing the country’s biggest hospitality brands. To elevate Next Step Design’s identity, Vitamin gave the firm a complete rebrand. We developed new brand messaging inclusive of a value proposition, mission statement and tagline, and we also designed the firm’s new responsive website, logo and print collateral. This project was a lot of fun because it gave us the opportunity to have fun with color and hand drawn elements – check out the business cards we designed below.


Ellin & Tucker on

It’s always exciting to work with major national media outlets, and working with Entrepreneur was no exception. We set up an interview with Todd Feuerman, director at Ellin & Tucker, who was quoted throughout a piece on succession planning and equity plans for a family business. Read the full article, here.

Arnold Packaging Rebrand and New Website

Being given the opportunity to rebrand an 80-year-old company is a designer’s dream. It gives you the unique opportunity to modernize a successful, long-standing business while staying true to its rich history — and that’s exactly what we did for Arnold Packaging. Vitamin created a new brand message and complete branding update that better reflects the packaging company’s value. We redesigned Arnold’s logo, website and print collateral to present the company as a high quality, high touch leader in the industry. Check out the modern logo below.


Saint Agnes Healthcare Annual Report

Saint Agnes asked Vitamin to design its 2016 annual report in a way that was modern, professional and cost effective — so we designed a fully responsive and mobile-friendly online report, eliminating printing and distribution costs, and showing that the hospital is digitally savvy. This polished, professional and modern report allowed for the incorporation of rich media such as the welcome video of CEO Keith Vander Kolk. We had a lot of fun using the hospital’s secondary brand color (purple) to add a touch of fun and excitement to the report.

Vitamin Website Redesign

And last but not least, this year we had the awesome opportunity to design our own website! Our new site is more modern, exemplary of our uniqueness in the marketplace and a stronger representation of the Vitamin brand.

These days, so many websites focus solely on selling a service or product. Our new website showcases who we are. Through fun copy, new professional photography of our studio, and interesting case studies, our new site shares our brand personality, our team, our unique studio space and our services.
