President / CEO
Amanda founded Vitamin's public relations department in 2005 thereby rounding out the firm's holistic approach to marketing. As a result, Vitamin became the only boutique in the mid-Atlantic offering comprehensive services where the quality of final deliverables remains equally balanced across disciplines. She is currently responsible for steering Vitamin's strategic direction, as well as managing the firm's PR department.
Amanda joined Vitamin after launching the PR department at Planit, a Baltimore advertising agency. She managed the department, overseeing its growth into a profitable business unit. Amanda grew the department into a five-person team while also handling new business development, PR writing, media relations, account management, personnel management, and the agency's own PR strategy.
Amanda holds a bachelor degree from Towson University in business administration and marketing. She studied abroad at the Universidad de Sevilla where she lived with a host family and learned to converse fluently in Spanish. Prior to graduating, she landed a job with one of the country's top 100 design firms: the now defunct Gr8. A series of events eventually sent the company into bankruptcy and Amanda suddenly found herself in charge of corporate communications. As the company slowly unraveled (and jilted workers took their stories to the press), Amanda earned a trial-by-fire degree in crisis communications.
